Taken from one of the finest albums of 2014 (Where Greater Men Have Fallen), Babel’s Tower with it’s excellently evocative lyrics, is an imposing track, laden with all kinds of symbolistic references that pop unbidden, yet unrelenting, into the mind of the listener. Creating a video for this song that on the one side doesn’t interrupt or alleviate these thought processes, yet at the same time seems relevant to the context is actually quite a feat – and one I think has been accomplished succesfully.
Good production, and the darkly somber ambience of the video underlines the song in a fine way.
