Recently, norwegian Black Jazz monstrosity Shining announced that Pil & Bue would be opening for them at an upcoming gig in Oslo. Now, when Shining recommend something, I tend to listen, and boy was I not disappointed!

This band is a powerhouse of dreamy alternative rock (for lack of a better term), I hear definite traces of lots of stuff from The Cure to desert rock, amalgamated into an alluring potion, with the potential to make a grey day a little less grey.

Definitely a band I’ll be checking out further…

Also, do check out the live-clip below – I love the kitchy setup with the lamp, red shirts, and the wallpaper (although that last bit might just be the venue)… delightful
