If there’s a band that’s almost synomous with visual presentation it must be Amenra. From their incredible video-backgrounds for their electric live-masses, which are a big part of the devastating effect of catching them live, through the graphical aesthetics of their work (be it albums or merchandise), to some incredible video-work – everything seems to work hand in hand with that crushing, obliterating music that at once seem to tear you down and set you free.

The upcoming album, Mass VI, will be out on October 20th on Consouling Sounds – and the opening track off that – Children Of The Eye – is out now, accompanied by a completely mindblowing video, drenched in symbolism and like everything Amenra, leaves you in a bewildered state after watching – as if just awoken from a nightmare, initially simply concerned with convincing yourself it was just a dream… at least until you see the dead fly in the window-sill and you’re no longer completely sure.
Bodes very well for the upcoming album of course – but as a cinematic work, it’s an important piece in itself, a surreal journey that reveals itself slowly through repeated viewings, in a revolving swirl of emotion.
